Qurbani is a financial worship which is mandatory for the wealthy. It is a sacrifice to sacrifice a specific animal on a specific day with the intention of earning reward for Allah. It is mandatory for a Muslim, a resident, owner of Nisab, and a free person.

On whom is Qurbani mandatory?

Masla: Just as Qurbani is mandatory for a man, it is also mandatory for a woman. Qurbani is not mandatory for a traveler, but if he does it as a voluntary act, he can do it and will get reward.

Masala: If a person owns two hundred dirhams or twenty dinars or owns any thing other than hazaat whose value is two hundred dirhams, he is a Gani and Qurbani is mandatory on him.

Time of Qurbani: From the morning of tenth Zilhijjah to the sunset of twelfth i.e. three days and two nights but the tenth night is better, then eleventh and then twelfth.

Masala: If Qurbani is offered in the city, the condition is that the Namaaz should be offered after Eid, and in the countryside, since there is no Namaaz Eid, it can be offered from morning Sadiq. Masala: It is mandatory to offer Qurbani at the time of Qurbani. Offering an animal of this value or such value as Sadaqah will not be considered mandatory.

Masala: After the day of Qurbani has passed, the Qurbani has died, it cannot be offered now. Therefore, if you have purchased an animal for sacrifice, then donate it as charity, otherwise donate the price of a goat as charity.
